Global Missions

As He Is USA exists to support As He Is Zimbabwe in preaching the gospel to those who seek treatment of physical ailments at its Christian Hospitals and Clinics. “We seek to provide the best health care possible to those who enter our doors so that in the end, they see Jesus’ compassion in us and praise God.”

People walk 10 to 20 miles to see a doctor at Mashoko Hospital in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. It is the only hospital within 50 miles, but people walk long distances because they have heard it is a place of compassion.

Two hundred beds are normally full. Another 100 women live in the Waiting Mothers Shelter on campus until their babies are born. And every day, 150 to 200 patients of all ages with all kinds of ailments come to the outpatient clinic for help. Along with medical care, patients hear the Gospel from doctors, nurses and chaplains.

They along with their three children Cassandra, Sarah, and Jonathan were excited to announce their new ministry in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic that began January 18, 2016.

Santo Domingo is a city of 4 million people and there was not one churches of Christ/Christian church missionary in the city. The majority of ministers there are close to retirement and looking for men to replace them. They asked Toby to come to train up men for ministry as well as to teach those who are interested in knowing the Bible more deeply.

Amy is a registered nurse who loves to help those who have no one to help them. She was told that there is a lot of work to do in a local clinic for the poor, in the sugar cane fields, the local dumps, and refugee camps. The ministers asked Amy to come serve by teaching women’s health as well as other health issues in their communities.
